Have you ever taken a break from your routine and then found it challenging to get back on track? It's a common experience for many of us. Whether it's due to a vacation, illness, or other life circumstances, getting back into our daily routine can be challenging. However, it's not impossible.
The first step to getting back into your routine is to recognize that it takes discipline, not magic. You may feel bad about getting out of your routine, but remember that you were once in a routine, and what you've done once can be repeated. Consider that you've only taken a detour - you haven't left it altogether. You just took a brief detour around your normal path.
Taking a break from the routine allows us to refocus, re-examine, and refresh the why behind what we do. Sometimes, we need a break to regain our momentum and motivation. However, it's essential to keep in mind that you were probably missed while you were gone. Have you ever had someone notice that you've been gone for a while? Didn't it make you feel good that you were missed?
This is what I've learned - taking a break from the routine is worth it periodically. Getting back into the rhythm of the routine is also worth it. So, if you can't pick up where you left off, start where you are, and don't look back. Why? Because that's not the direction you're going anyway!
The key to getting back into your routine is to start small and build momentum gradually. Don't try to do everything at once. Instead, focus on one or two essential tasks and work your way up from there. It's also helpful to create a schedule or a to-do list to keep you accountable and on track.
Remember that getting back into your routine may take time, but it's worth the effort. With patience, persistence, and discipline, you can regain your momentum and get back on track. So, don't give up and keep moving forward. You got this!
